Happy Thanksgiving!

I just want to wish everyone who reads this and celebrates the American Thanksgiving Holiday a very happy Thanksgiving!  I also ask that as you stuff yourself tomorrow with traditional Thanksgiving yummies and football (if that is part of your family tradition) with friends and family that you take a moment to reflect on the concept of the holiday and remember to be grateful for the goodness that has come since the last Thanksgiving.  And please take a moment to remember those who for whatever reason are not able to celebrate the holiday with their families.

Fortunately, this year I will actually get to have Thanksgiving at home (and Christmas as well, a most unusual year)! Debra has to work Thanksgiving, Black Friday (she does work at Wally~Mart) and Saturday.  Saturday is also our 30th anniversary, so hopefully, she won't have to work too late and we can go out and celebrate it Saturday night. Sunday, my brothers will be coming in from Oklahoma City with their families, so we will celebrate Thanksgiving Sunday afternoon at my dad's house.

As far as my work travels are concerned, it appears that even though I thought I still had enough blank pages in my passport, the office in Houston decided that I needed a fourth refill of pages before carrying on with getting the visas for my next project sorted out.  So they got another refill of pages and got my passport back last Monday.  They have applied for the visa to go to Malaysia telling them that I will travel on the 27th, so hopefully, that means they can have my passport back by Monday with the visa and then overnight it to me.  That would mean that at the absolute earliest, I will not be traveling until Tuesday. Hopefully, this delay will at least make the travel a little simpler as the Thanksgiving rush will have settled down somewhat.
