Check It...McSweeney's Is Sweet!

"Before I spill the things I mean to hide away,
or gouge my eyes with platitudes of sentiment,
I'll drown the urge for permanence and certainty;
crouch down and scrawl my name with yours in wet cement."

About two years ago I walked into a book store and saw this interestingly titled book. The book in question was A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius by David Eggers, and it proved to be just that. I'm quite sure that it is one of the best books I've ever read, being both hilarious and sad at the same time. It's as if the author has cut open his head and allowed his thoughts to just pour on to the page. The writing is just amazing.

So, needless to say, when I found out that the author had a web presence I was thrilled. It turns out that Mr. Eggers started a quarterly called McSweeney's, which has a number of stories and other interesting things in it. While I have yet to find a copy of the quarterly, the web page more than suffices. As far as I know, anybody can submit something to the site, and there is a good chance that you could be published there.

I've only recently started reading the site again. As I started reading Eggers second novel, You Shall Know Our Velocity!, McSweeney's popped into my head. So I checked it out again, and haven't been disappointed. What follows are some links to some of the more interesting articles I've read.
