One Week In...

I've been back in residence for roughly a week now, and things are decent.

First of all, I managed to get my student loan troubles sorted out successfully. The financial aid people were attempting to take $2300.00 out of my student loan, claiming that during the pre-study period two summers ago I made more than enough to pay for school. In a way they were right, but they screwed up in assuming that all the cash I made was done during that pre-study period, when in actual fact the amount I made in that period was only a small fraction of what I reported on my taxes. As such, I trotted over to the financial aid office yesterday, and we managed to sort everything out, and now I will be receiving my full loan. Good thing to, as I would be seriously straped for cash if they had taken money from me.

The first Thursday back at the Breezeway was an excellent night, or so I hear. The plan was to become well liquered up before heading off to the Breezeway, but unfortunately yours truly went to far. I made the mistake of picking up a 26er of tequila on my way back through Heathrow, and this contributed to a very short night for myself. I ended up enjoying that bottle (and a few beer) far too much, so much so that my girlfriend had to put me in bed at eleven o'clock. I never even came close to making it to the Breezeway, and had a vicious hangover the next morning. I heard it was packed over there though, biggest crowd anybody has ever seen...and I missed it!

Other than that life has been pretty good. I haven't touched any alcohol since that insident, though we are planning to hit the Breezeway this Thursday. It's Catherine's (girl on 2nd floor) birthday, so a bunch of people from the house are going out for that. Success at reaching the Breezeway this week is assured, as I don't plan to drink much and just really want to go out dancing and carousing. Should be a good time.

Anyway, that's all for now...
