You Would Think...

If I got to play,
I'm gonna play 'til I win,
since I gots to be here,
can't wait to begin.

With all the free time that I find myself with, I'de have probably done a few updates here on the journal. Well, as it turns out, I have not done a single update to the site since my first day back here in Goose Bay. I blame it primarily to the crippling state of lethargy which has overwhelmed me. It's also due to a lack of anything to say here. In any case, here is a small update for my small group of readers to mull over.

I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a job here in town, much harder than last year. I've plastered the bloody place with resumes, but nobody seems to be hiring at the moment, instead waiting until the end of May or early June. This obviously does not bode well for my plans of saving massive amounts of cash for the fall.

While waiting to find a job, I've spent the vast majority of my time sitting on my ass doing nothing. I've been reading a lot, having finished about four or five books since I returned home. I've also been watching a lot of TV, something which I rarely do...though the hockey playoffs are on, and there is plenty of soccer to watch through our digital cable service.

Luckily, my social life hasn't completely died out, even though there are few people I know here in Goose Bay. I found a new appreiciation for Tim Hortons and going for coffee, and have spent a couple of Friday nights at one of the local pubs (Mulligan's). Other than that things have been pretty quiet, and I've been mostly house bound.

That's it for now, as I may be heading out to play some pool in a minute. I'll try to update again over the weekend, as I have a little project that I may start working on in my free time. Perhaps I'll fill you all in with the plan, though only I would find it half way interesting.

Until next time...
