I think, for a moment, I forgot what it was like to have something of a social life. It's been quite some time since I've been out for the sake of just doing so, instead of with some purpose or mission in mind. Having a chance to go back to Hogwarts and see Thalassa again was... invigorating. Hell, she even remembered to get me a birthday present.
[Private to the Order]: I may have some new information coming in concerning some prophesies from the Temple of Athene Pronaos at Delphi. My source tells me that they might be linked to the current war, but I'm not sure yet. I haven't had a chance to review the translations yet, but when I do I'll let you know.
If it's important, and it might well be... who knows where things could go from here. [/Private]
[Private to self]: I'd nearly forgotten about Thalassa, how long it's been since we've seen each other. True, we'd kept in touch by owl through the years, but it's not the same as being in the same room with her. It's bringing back memories... not all of them pleasant ones.
I met her right after Angelique's death, at a point in my life when I was willing to do anything, absolutely anything, to find the Death Eaters who killed her and bring them to justice. She was working for the Ministry then, and became more than just a colleague... she became a friend, a close one. I do think Tha was the only one who saw how shattered I was, and she wasn't frightened by it. Then I joined the Order (something to this day I'm fairly certain she knows nothing about), and she had her research, and we just... drifted.
Still, it's good, getting back in touch. Now she's a professor at Hogwarts, and I'll be sending the new recruits there. Either way, I have an excuse to go back, to visit, to spend time there. It's not wrong to admit that I'm looking forward to that.
