Dear insurance companies.
Don't offer me a horrendous renewal price (~£600) and expect me not to go look at other cover.
A second mistake is then to offer me cover via a comparison site which I've crafted to give the cover at the same level (I went through the documents making of sure this) a price of about £214*.
Then when I ring to 'discuss' it tell me that the 600 give me lots more and proceed to tell me about cover that you've bundled in that I don't want or isn't applicable to me in order to justify the cost. Also telling me that it's a different product and doesn't offer the same level of cover (the funnest part of the conversation being where you told me that the voluntary excess of £250 was standard even though the offer you on the comparison site was £150).

*Sometimes I think that they really don't want repeat business, and on the plus side we're about £350 better off this year with the level of cover I want.
