Revolution, get up, stand up - corporate jingles?

Sigh.. Another one bites the dust - Bob, you were an inspiration to more than one generation - not you too, and of all evil giants to pick - why Starbucks? This after Jimmy Page playing the Whole Lotta Love riff and brandishing his Les Paul guitar with suited Warner execs, above the trading floor at the New York Stock Exchange for Warner Music's IPO. Zep's Rock & Roll appears in a Cadillac ad, Dylan's sell out of choice is Victoria's Secret lingerie no less, and of course the one that really started it all - the Beatles Revolution which was (in)famously in a Nike sneaker commercial in '87.. You'd think the blows would get easier to deal with, but somehow the death of iconoclastic icons is always hard..

You say you want a revolution,
Well you know
We all want to change the world.

Change the world indeed (just as long as the bank balance stays healthy). Although, to be fare to the Beatles, it was Michael Jackson that sold the copyright to Nike..

While on the corporatisation theme, the BBC reports that Reliance is starting a chain of dhabas!
