Why the movie's never as good as the book

"Naturally, because when you read it, you are the director, you are the cameraman and the editor. So, obviously you will like your film better..While you are reading the novel, you are doing the casting, you're deciding the frame compositions, the locations, the sets are being designed by you. I have noticed one thing that while reading a novel, the set seems to be made of rubber. In one scene, you imagine the room this way and in the next scene which takes place in the same location, the room changes according to your convenience. Where would you have this facility in cinema?"
