Bush is such an arsehole - really, there's no point being pc about it he really is a fucking jerk.. Been meaning to write a long political rant for a while now - somehow never got around to it - well, I don't think I'll be able to sleep in good conscience without hurling my two paisa worth of abuse at Bush online.. Have been doing my bit by railing against Bush during my TA lab sessions - and it seems to have gone down well with the students, all of whom, I guess were liberals to start with.. Bush says 'liberal' with so much contempt, you'd think he was accusing John Kerry of grand felony or some such thing..
Not being American, the outcome of this election shouldn't make that much of a difference...Bush doesn't represent me (not that he represents the avg. American either!).. But, not taking a stand in the face of such blatant misuse of power, and general contempt for those less powerful, is unconscionable.. Bush's policies screw the world, to be silent is to be complicit in some sense.. There seems to be no limit to the man's hubris.. And how the fuck did he manage to portray a Vatican-frowned-upon war as following God's will, and to deflect all criticism as denigrating combat troops? Are the Bushies really that ignorant? In this modern digital age how can anybody in their right minds, for that matter anyone with half a mind, vote for Bush?
