So, I finished Knights of the Old Republic II last night and am wondering what the next one is I have to pick up.
Here's what I've played in the last little while that fall into the RPG category :
Never Winter Nights, Diamond Edition (so basically it + all its expansions and sequels) : Really liked this, though in one of the sequels got stuck near the end with a guy my party just couldn't beat. Wasn't going to go back and redo everything.
Oblivion : The gold standard. Absolutely unbelievable, I loved the freedom, I loved the living NPCs, I loved the graphics, it was AMAZING. A++
Fable : Blah. It wasn't BAD, but it was just.. well, it felt kinda lame
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic : I LOVED the demo for this, so I bought the full thing off Steam, despite it getting crap reviews. Unfortunately, it deserved the crap reviews
KOTOR : Excellent. Great story, great play. Best part is early, when you're visiting new places, wonderful different settings with different feels, game never feels like a grind
KOTOR II : Mostly Excellent, though the end felt a bit cheap to me. Some stability issues, even with all the patches. But the story is still great. Wasn't a huge fan of all the perspective switches - every once in awhile is cool, all the frigging time gets annoying (especially partway through where it switches over and over and over and over)
Hitman : etc
