I finally get paid this week. I get the money on thursday, but I wanted to check my bank account anyway to see how I'm doing and if everything was alright. All looked fine, they were all transactions that I remember making. However, there was a little charge that I was confused about. I've been charged $12 from a company called Reservation Rewards. At first, that was the only one; till I saw another charge in May. After freaking out, I did a look up of all the transactions done from Reservation Rewards...they've been charging me since December. >_>
Doing a lot of research, it looks like I became enrolled in this horrible scam by making a purchase from drugstore.com back in November. When you finish the purchase, drugstore.com asks you if you want to sign up for their rewards program. I figured sure, because all the pharmacies here in the city are expensive. By putting in my email and ONLY my email address; all my credit card information was giving to this reservation rewards company and they had me enrolled in their membership. And without my consent, they've been charging me $12 a month. Now, looking at every single legal, terms of use, and other small fine print; even then, there is nothing stated that informs you that they're doing this.
Thanks to my brother and father's help, we found out that so many other people got caught up in the same thing. People that made purchases from Ebay, Amazon, Hotel.com, Expedia, and so many other big websites:

I'm supposed to get all my money back within 3-5 days with no hassle. All $84 of it. I honestly have no idea how I missed the other $12 charges. Not only am I a cheap asshole, but I'm usually one of those people that keeps all their receipts and is very anal about making sure everything in the bank account is fine each week. I think I over looked it, because my train tickets back home can cost $12. So I'm going to make a very friendly phone call later today and hopefully get my money back.
