I like seeing accidental footprints left in concrete, especially those left by critters.
School is starting in about 2 weeks, and I'm really looking forward to it. I confess I've had a complete fuck-off summer, during which I accomplished diddly squat. My mind and body are craving structure.
The old roommate, Shan, is moving out this week, and the plan is to get him good and wasted on Wednesday night in time to be hungover during his move day on Thursday. Bon voyage, Shan my man. The new roommate, Ethan the Firefighter, is moving in this weekend. With him comes a new couch, a working fireplace (he's defying our landlords and fixing it himself- TAKE THAT!), and an above ground garden.
This past weekend was the Outland Music Festival in Golden Gate Park. I reeeeeaaaally wanted to go, but couldn't afford the tickets. HOWEVER! As it turns out I could hear the main acts from inside my house for free. Yay-uh! Just another reason I love living right next to the park.
Speaking of that concert, remind me never to go running through the park when there's a festival going on. They blocked off most of the trails and, like an ant after stick falls into its path, I got totally lost. I literally ran around in circles, aimless, for about 45 minutes and ended up back at the beach (count em) 3 times. My shin splints hate you, concert organizers.
It's a beautiful day, a beach day. Think I'll sneak up to the rooftop terrace at work and roast in the sun for a bit.
