[It's also locked to members of the Sentai group as well. I mean you could hack it.

If you really wanted to.

And have nothing better to do than watch as a beaming Dee practically glows from cheer in front of the pokegear.]

Hello, everyone! I promised Blue that I would come up with some uniform ideas, and I've finally sketched a few.

Ba da da DA~...

.... Are you guys seriously gonna fight crime dressed like that?

[She sounds... amused. OH YOU CRAZY KIDS.]

It'll be hilarious and wonderful.

[Dee, why are you so HAPPY for this.]

I got dressed up for a masquerade once, but that was it. This looks like it'll be a lot more interesting. [The masquerade was also her getting people to stop screwing with time and just die already, so she WOULD be cheerful in having a... really weird Halloween.]

[Video] You guys are making me miss my days of vigilante RP. XD foolishwren November 22 2010, 20:33:58 UTC
[Heather still has her reservations about people trying to play superhero around here-- she's got nothing against good, old-fashioned vigilante justice (because god knows she's never known the police to be any REAL help) but there's dangerous shit goin' down here and she's not sure a bunch of kooks in costumes is the way to go about taking care of it-- buuut Dee's enthusiasm makes her laugh.]

I hope you guys record some of this.

I could use a laugh lately.

[She says it with a mocking edge, but she's not trying to be hurtful. She really COULD use a good laugh.]

[The tone doesn't seem to tone down Dee's impenetrable field of glee- no worries, Heather.]

Don't worry- we'll make a marathon of it. Just for you.

Besides, what could be more fun than running around like superheroes? If we actually do some good, it's just a bonus.

People tend to forget how tough someone can be if they act silly and happy enough. I have a little sister who's kind of like that. [It does take a lot to survive the transition from Delight to Delirium, and poor Del's been through that and more.]

Awesome, I'll look forward to it.

And-- ... heh, y'know, I didn't know anybody else around here thought like that. [It's... more or less Heather's outlook, although she doesn't always succeed. It was hard to come out of a place like Silent Hill without occasionally drifting towards grimness. But hey, laughing at something was just another way of beating it. It sure was how Heather had gotten herself through everything she'd been through.]

Didn't know you had a little sister, either. [From what she'd seen... Dee seemed like a pretty awesome big sister. But she didn't know her well enough (... that she KNEW, anyway) to say anything like that without it being all awkward, so she'll just let it remain unstated. But she kind of wishes she'd had that. ... Or been that.]

[Maybe Claudia could've turned out differently if her 'big sister' had been able to teach her those kinds of lessons...]

My family's kinda big.

[For once, her super happy glee vibes seem to disappear, and she's left looking a bit thoughtful. In all honesty, she's been wanting to talk about them for a while now, especially since arriving in Johto, and before that, the funeral...

She's been to a lot of them. It's who she is. But it's always different when it's one of her family.]

I'm the second oldest out of seven, but the oldest sister. Del, who I'm talking about, is the youngest.

[She detects that tone change in an instant and sobers up a little, herself-- Heather knows probably better than anybody that family can be a complicated topic. Still, she tries to keep the tone a little light.]

Del, huh? Does the whole family have 'D' names?

[She sounds a little bit thoughtful herself, though, and the smile on her face is contemplative.]

I've always been an only child, myself. Used to have a friend who was like a little sister for awhile, though.

Yeah. [She chuckles and ducks her head down.] We kinda all do. It's a family thing.

[There's a nod and a smile- Dee's back into listening mode.] Have you found anyone here who's like family here in Johto?

Did it ever get you guys teased at school?

[SILLY HEATHER, THE ENDLESS DON'T GO TO SCHOOL.]

[The question catches her a little off-guard at first, but she quirks a crooked grin and rubs the back of her neck.]

Actually, yeah. S'pretty cool.

[Hal and Liquid had pretty much turned into the big brothers she'd never had. And for all Heather's uncertainties about being able to be a decent big sister role model, she can't help but feel protective over Rise. ... And as for Sora, well, he's pretty much EVERYBODY'S little bro now, isn't he? Kid's so friggin' adorable.]

[THAT IS ALMOST EXACTLY DEE'S TRAIN OF THOUGHT. But her response is to just smirk.]

Nah. My brothers tend to get a lot of respect, and one of my little sisters scares people away. Des is actually something of a social butterfly. [Also a trolling douchebag, but you don't really say that. Besides, Dee's still trying to figure out how to introduce Desire the "sister brother" into normal conversation.]

See? There are nice things here, too. [This her own subtle way of trying to shove away the Dahlia incident.] It's one of the nice things about this place. You can meet people you'd never have had a chance to meet before. Start over, at least for a little while.

Man. You guys sound like a pretty interesting bunch. How many siblings do you have, anyway? [Maybe that would explain why she was so chill about everything? Having a bazillion siblings had to make you sort of laid-back or else you'd go into freakout overload and die or something.]

And-- ... yeah. [Heather sounds a little sheepish, and her tone softens.] That's, uh... that's kind of what I've been trying to do. Ever since-- ... well, I've been trying to start over, yeah. [A-awkward laugh. She hasn't really told anybody this, at least not directly, but that weird familiarity that Dee has makes it... easier for her to talk to? Something.]

[She's still got that light tone, though-- blowing it off like it's nothing.]

Back home was like... pretty crazy for me, so I'm still kinda easing into the whole 'having friends' thing again. It's been awhile, I'm a little rusty.

[As much as she loved Douglas... she and him pretty much made the most motley and depressing pair of best friends ever.]

[Especially when they're all dysfunctional in some way and JEEZ THE SPATS. Dee is one of the few sane ones.] I have six, but one of them kinda... decided to do his own thing for a while. The rest of the family doesn't like to talk about him.

[Desire may act like s/he doesn't care, but she knows everyone else does, especially Despair and Delirium. And poor Dream... He never could understand Destruction's decision. As for her?]

[She just knows that, one day, she'll end up seeing him again. For better or worse.]

Really? [Dee gives one of her usual big smiles.] You seem to be doing pretty well to me. After all, you are 'Awesome'.

Still... I kind of understand what you mean. Things were really hectic for me, too. [The Kindly Ones. The war the kingdom of dreams went through. Taking her brother's hand. The wake. Welcoming him.]

...I arrived here right after a funeral.

[OH THOSE CRAZY KIDS. ... ANCIENT MULTIDIMENSIONAL BEINGS. ... WHATEVER THEY WERE.]

[Heather makes a sympathetic face-- even if she can't personally relate on the having-siblings thing, she's more than familiar with dysfunctional families and it sounds like Dee's from one that's dysfunctional with a capital-- ... well, ironically, D.]

HEH. Well, YEAH, I mean, that goes without sayin'.

[She turns her nose up and shrugs broadly in a display of mock smugness that goes away once Dee continues.]

Wh-- really, a funeral? ... That's harsh. M'sorry. ...Was it someone close? [She'd... never have guessed from the way that Dee was so bright and perky when she got here, but she understands. Being able to bounce back like that was important. Hell, she sort of wishes she could say she was able to do that entirely after ... well, after losing her father.]

Yeah.

[There's a sudden awkward pause and in the back of her mind, Dee realizes that even when she's had her chance every hundred so years, she's never really cried. Even when she lost her coldness. Even when the first Despair died.

She's wanted to, felt it, but never done it.

After a moment, she takes a breath.]

One of my younger brothers. The third oldest out of all of us. I really... miss him.

[Wow. ... Yeah, suddenly Dee's cheerful demeanor is a lot more meaningful to Heather. It's easy to pretend that happy people have nothing wrong in their lives-- Heather doesn't usually make that mistake, of course-- not anymore-- but still.]

... I'm sorry.

[There's a pause in which she wonders just what to say. As much as she knows the feeling, she's never been good at consolations, herself. Hell, she'd hardly even been able to express her feelings to Douglas, when he told her about his son...]

... I, uh... about a year before I came here, I lost my dad. So... It's not as ... uh, raw, but... I kinda know how you feel.

It's rough.

[But of course, unbeknownst to Heather, Dee already knows that!]

... How'd he die, if you don't mind my ...?

[There's just a small sad smile when Heather mentions Harry. Death remembers everyone, and it's hard to forget someone like that writer.

At the question, she just remains silent, trying to word it out properly in her head. Like was so often the case sometimes, the entire situation was twisted. So many people, so many mistakes. And Dream at the heart of it all.]

It's alright. The whole thing was... complicated. Someone thought he was to blame for something, thought he hurt her in some way, so she went to the wrong people. He tried to fight back so they wouldn't hurt the people who worked for him, or his home- because they couldn't hurt him directly for a long time- but it was too much for him.

He always did work himself too hard... [Her mind drifts elsewhere, in rain and on rock and by his side.]
