Have been having some ramen craving recently and went around tasting some of the recommendations that friends and friends-of-friends have made. Went tasting at four ramen outlets
1) Beppu @ Far East Square
2) Kyonichi near Far East sq
3) Ichiban @ Robertson Quay
4) Miharu @ Gallery Hotel
Beppu's soup stock wasn't really anything to shout about. So obviously I had the spicy ramen (4 chilli rating) with the very crispy and delicious Tori Karaage.
Kyonichi had somewhat better soup stock while Ichiban had even better stock and very tender Char siew slices.
But Miharu takes the cake in terms of stock and ramen. They serve a very limited variety of ramen and even less variety of other dishes. 80% of the guest of this quaint little restaurant were Japanese so we felt a little out of place, since everyone else was jabbering in Japanese. The miso soup base was so good that I slurped up every drop of it. The generous portion of the specially imported noodles will make even the hungry boys satisfied. Oiishi!!
P.S. the last time i went they were closed because they ran out of Ramen!!*sulk*
Hey and each time I go, I'd not forget to indulge my sweet tooth at the nearby canele patisserie et chocolaterie.
