I've had a duuuh moment and a "why the hell did I not tell this person to tread VERY lightly?" moment...all in one.
Girl came around claiming she works for honeywell [or rather one of the contractors] and that they provide most of the home security systems in the area. She was a talkative thing and then I said !. We rent. 2. We rent. 3. we ain't interested. "You sure? I have no doubt that the next time theres a breakin there'll be a rush to have systems installed. Yep...besides me and my surroundin neighbors have dogs...better than alarms. *I shoulda had a v-8* "Are you sure you wanna risk some one harming your pet?"
Now at this point I should have said "lady you MIGHT wanna be careful with them kinda suggestions...someone MIGHT take offense and then it would be your ass" What I said was not interested. and closed the door.
I'd call Honeywell and brinks but it probably wouldn't do any good. I HATE people who fear monger to make a buck like that...its..ANNOYING.
