Moan, moan, moan..... v***u.
Well, I have tried for quite some time now to top-up my pre-paid via
"the leading mobile phone site on the Web" and accomplished fuck all. The web site is not accepting my request; I then thought it might be because I had entered this address and not my proper Finnish Visa billing address - which, of course, the site format being British, is not possible for me to enter... and unless I have carried out a succesfull web top-up first, I cannot use the text message version either. So, I tried calling instead. This time I got pretty far with the voice service - all the way to postal code, again... I mean, why do they need to know that kinda stuff when for instance other companies I've done business with, companies like
Afrocare,
Skype,
Ryanair or
SAS accept credit payments without any such address hassle? Reminds me of car rental in Germany, which you cannot do unless your address is printed on your passport, which Finnish passports obviously do NOT have.... Anyways, I do realise local teleoperator is a bit different from a global web shop, but STILL if they can do it, why not O2.... I have 0.27£ credit, which is why I couldn't reply to
cazgatita's message Sunday night (also, I forgot my phone here when we left for London, sorry Hun... my family had also tried to call me and were obviously a bit annoyed because they only got the "housemaid", as they said, to answer the phone :S)
...and as I have no intention to go out at this hour, trying to find a petrol station or some other establishment where I could use the ingenious E Top Up Card O2 has provided me with, or an ATM either, I guess this means I will have to wait til
punkfunkjunk gets back from his work trip so we can use his credit card. How wank is this. Luckily I still have my
Finnish provider, so, in case of emergency I can actually call someone >:/
Was gonna whine about summat already last night, too, but got too tired... Oh yes, Mum called, we haven't talked in ages (last time was when I was in Finland mid July), I guess she is not gonna be too happy when she sees the cost of that call, anyways she spent most of the roughly 40 minutes moaning about her job. When I told her I am not actually doing anything here, she found that a bit odd - so I had to remind her how she just had mardied in length about how fed up SHE is with working full time.... *sigh* Aren't parents supposed to be encouraging and positive?
When I logged in lj last nite there were two consequtive entries on my Friends list regarding some people talking bs behind their backs. Not nice. Not nice at all.
I am also finding myself in several delicate social situations in several directions. Well, as long as people behave well towards me, I have no need to take sides or start lashing out or anything. It is different then, if people do NOT behave - for example, I am not too happy about the fact that my other tenant still owes me over 300€ which he was supposed to pay in the beginning of July, and I am still to wait til mid September, the little bugger says.... Perkele!
Luckily I am listening to good music. Haven't really listened to this for quite some time now, but for instance the guitar on Get You just totally rocks. And in general, I do like Neon Zoo guitars, no matter what some people say bout mixing guitars with electronica... yay, gig on Thursday next week! Joo :D
Managed finally to do summat with my
MySpace account, even though it did confuse me a lot to start with, and then some. But I guess it is a brilliant place if you are interested in music. At least a friend of mine, who is not into internet at all, seemed to be really happy when I sent her the link to
Billy Corgan.
And my nails are gone. They looked a killer and were nice for a gigl, but maintaining them did cost, and I was rather handicapped at times... I started mutilating them yesterday morning and now I can actually pick up coins from the table, button my clothes properly and type real fast :P
