Demolition
Over the last few weeks they’ve been knocking down the old boilerhouse, where I used to work. It’s just behind the new building where I now work and in a similar style to the 28 days later site I’ve mentioned previously, I’ve taken some pictures.
The roofs off and most of the turbine hall is gone, leaving the turbine chimney stack exposed.
Turbine hall has gone and so as most of the firing floor (where the boiler were).
Nearly gone and all that’s left is the elevators, yes, the ones that caused me so much trouble.
All gone, except for the main stack, which is coming down next weekend, they’ve got to close the railway line, so it’s been done during the night.
