I had this exact same discussion at work with one of my colleagues, except Vicky is far more eloquent. I said sometimes there are far more important lessons you don’t learn at school. My nephew has been at home because his school closed and he’s been building snowmen with his mom (who’s a teacher and her school was shut) in the back garden and I’m sure when he gets to my age he will still have fond memories of the day the school closed just like I remember and surely these are just as valuable than anything you can learn in school.
