Sometimes you invest so much time in meaningless things because you get sick of not caring. I'm not justifying anything, but if you travel North long enough you're going to end up back where you started. I'm getting sick of false advertising, everyone does it but I wish people would just be honest for once. Life is decidedly becoming a competition of who can sipher the most bullshit through their gut. Who can understand the quickest, who can sell the most, and who can lie the easiest. Look at the ghettos! They're STILL a prudominantly black area. Don't tell me slavery still isn't an issue, when Jamal carries a gun because Cam'ron claims he does too. Jamal deals coke because Jay did. That's the mental slavery part, but let's face it, the African-American race still has not recovered. If they had, when you walk in the ghetto you wouldn't see the shadows running from the liquor store. It's ridiculous. White, Christian males have the rest of American pinned under their thumb, just because the pressure is loosening, doesn't change the fact that everyone else is STILL under their thumb. Instead we've caged other races as a way to say, "Look, they're not under our thumb, so you can't claim that." And it's not just African-Americans, it's women, it's the overwhelming growth of the Spanish speaking population. And they wonder why gangster rap is so violent. A wise man once told it to me like this: If you're locked outside a hotel and you're starving and there's plenty of food on the inside going to waste, you're going to ask for some. And after the people in the hotel tell you "No", you're going start saying, "We NEED that food." And after they tell you know, you're going to start banging on the door. Eventually, you're going to kick the door in and get violent. That's all was way off the point, but I guess you can think of it like this, in a match to see who can survive the longest who will win, Gandhi or Hitler. Hitler is willing to kill, so the logical conclusion is that Hitler will, but everyone will bemoan Gandhi's death. My point is, maybe we need a Hitler every once in a while to restore the values in society as we know it. That's in no way a promotion of a second holocaust or the first, I'm just saying that it's all gravitational. That old adage, what goes up must come down. Maybe the devil is going to go down in the annals of history as a savior, because he encourages the overall goodness of people through intimidation. You could make endless analogies about the whole situation, but then it'd just be killing time. Humans tend to overthink life. Most people who read this won't understand the comparision here, but it's like in baseball when you bunt to move a runner over. Original logic is that you're giving away an out, which is bad. But you move the runner over which is good. The issue is the value of that runner being advanced, with the other end of the scale being the cost of an out. Most tend to think the sacrifice bunt is good, partially because it defies very primal conventional wisdom, where people had not considered that option, and therefore pounced on something new. Wrong. Giving away an out is often more important than advancing a runner one base, this of course is backed up by statistics. I could go much deeper into that, but it would all just be semantics. The point is, people are eager to discover new things, but are afraid to admit that they're wrong. Duh, right? But therein lies the question, why are people afraid of being wrong? So, that's what we get in the end, you know, a question. What else is new.
