Room 321: Thursday Evening
Granted for most people, it was probably time to change into something comfortable, watch some college basketball and eventually go to bed.
However for someone used to working a 37 hour day, it was actually time to have a conference call and check in with the home office.
"Tell me about case 31472," Zed droned over the comm.
"Typical case," K replied. "Odd behavior with weak cover story."
"Oh?" Zed asked. "What's that?"
"Claims she's Canadian."
J let out a snort of amusement. "Man, that's the lamest cover ever."
"Anything else?"
"Just the run of the mill stuff," K replied.
"Keep up the good work," Zed said with a nod. "We'll keep in touch.
K turned off the comm and began to loosen his tie. He looked out the window for a while, staring up at the sky. One nice thing about Fandom was that there was light pollution here than back in New York.
It made it easy to look at the stars.
And then it was time to watch some college basketball, drink a beer and go to bed.
