reminds me of asianpunkboy stuff. though as far as i remember his work never specifically invoked female clients. also similar to alice as cake in the video for tom petty's "don't come around here no more." what would be better is if the skirt of the dress detached for picnic use, leaving a shorter skirt in which the wearer may picnic. nevertheless, as it is it's great for any society-minded drag queen.

the skirt is supposed to be for picnic use. but it appears the wearer cannot get up and walk away.

exactly. a detachable outer skirt revealing a short, fun inner skirt and yielding the perfect picnic blanket would solve this sadian problem of the picnic-twined picnicker.

that's the problem with it as is. it is not about the woman (presumably) the host having freedom of movement.

masochistic skirt yeah.

oh man, it reminds me of something else now: silverstein's horrible giving tree. never thought of it before but i can draw a direct line now between sade and that tree all the way through to kara walker.

i can understand the horror of the giving tree, and yet it is the first book i ever remember reading and so i still love it. i just found my copy and reread it the other day, in fact. i really love the illustrations.
