Yup… I love my wife

Lets start off with a photo of one of our sheep before I start today's story. Mostly because folks are more inclined to read stories with photos. Regardless of whether they have ANYTHING to do with the story or not!

I was asking an employee about his wife's progress with a master's degree. He spoke of the common element to all master's programs… writing. Then he looked up and said, "But you like writing, so it should be easy."

I laughed. It is not that I like it. It is more that I have something in my head that must get out. I liken it to being sick to one's stomach and vomiting. Generally, one feels better after they puke and the bad thing in their gut comes out. This is similar to writing for m.e. The words reside in my head and I will not feel better until I get them out. I really do not care if anyone else likes them or will read them. I just feel better with it out of m.e.

If anyone feels sorry for someone like this, don't! The writer should not be the object of sympathy in this case (remember they feel SO much better). Instead, it is the editor one should pity. The editor serves as the janitor who comes behind, sprinkles some magic saw dust on it, and cleans up the mess. With luck, they will also put some air freshener on it to cover up the stink and potentially fool some folks into thinking that there's a bed of roses growing up through that stain on the ground!

Thank you dear wife for editing my work and helping!

sheep, work
