Oh, Tigers. Fail.
But the game was still fun (even if we did leave after the 7th to beat traffic), and we were *so close* to the field it was crazy. Safeco was very nice, but I didn't have time before the game started to really explore, and when the game was going, well, I was watching (and keeping score), so I didn't walk around. You can stand right next to the bullpens though, which is SO COOL. We stayed long enough to see Gerald Laird get a hit (finally), sing Take Me Out to The Ball Game (by the way, you can't say "root, root, root for the Mariners" it has too many syllables; Tigers on the other hand...), and get our picture taken so I can show people just how close to the field I really was. A couple of balls came close to us, but not nearly close enough for us to have a shot at getting them. I tried to pick out children I would give the ball too if I got one, but every time I did that kid promptly did something incredibly annoying, and I don't support that behavior. I probably would have just given it to Texas; she would have been happy.
Called the IOM to make him jealous of my awesome seats. Left a message but he called back, which was quite nice as I haven't actually spoken to him in forever. We texted a bit throughout the game (mostly things like "fuck this", haha). It was lovely.
I find it both hilarious and sad that the happy anonymeme was so very quiet. I should have been all excited about baseball on it, but I was too busy getting ready to drive up to Seattle to be on my compute much.
Sleep now. Probably some homework tomorrow, then Cirque du Soleil :D.
Oh, and Newspaper stood me up Thursday, the freakin' douche. I ended up having a fun night with my housemates, but I'm a little pissed. Not too pissed, because mostly I was excited about free dinner and wondering how awkward it would be, but still upset. Psh.
The Best Friend seems to have guys falling all over her. It makes me smile.
