Almost Christmas, Charlie!

PMSing Christmas week is not very fun.

Sorry if that's too much information.

Yesterday was really good for the first half, and pretty shitty for the second half. I haven't seen anyone but family friends since I've been home. It's partly my fault (because I am tired and selfish and feel people should want to see me enough to make an effort) and partly their fault (the effort is minimal) and partly no one's fault (sickness, family, etc). Nonetheless, I was sad for it yesterday.

So today I decided not to be bitchy or sad or ruin anything. It's Christmas Eve for God's sake (hehe). So I got up before nine and started cleaning my room and the house without any complaint or even an eye roll (except at my sister, on whom it is *such* a burden to do these things and *no one else* helps *at all*...so yes, deserves an eye roll). Of course though, my mom's not here, so while my dad saw my brilliant helpfulness, my mom will come back from errands stressed and probably angry and say something about how she's been up since whatever o'clock working and what have we been doing blah blah blah blah. But I am writing about this and getting the pissy out now, for when she comes home I will be the smiley and cheery and helpful child.

Getting more pissy out: we have to go to Christmas Eve service at freakin' 11 o'clock tonight. We don't even go to church. My dad, sister and I would usually rather bang our heads against a wall. But it's a family friend's church--as in, he's the pastor--and he's cool, so maybe it won't be so bad. We're going because my mom is telling the Christmas story there (the Jesus one, not the awesome movie one). And of course we will support her and do it at least with a forced smile, though my sister will probably say something incredibly rude, because that's what she does, especially when it comes to religion, and there will be a silent fight. Lovely.

The brother is not home because he is in Ecuador visiting his girlfriend. Her birthday is Christmas, so it's cute and adorable and all but I miss him. The Boyfriend is coming the day after Christmas, and we are invited to a Facebook event that night called "Drunk Sledding." Hehe. Plus, my mom has said she'd come pick us up afterward. Victory. The IOM expressed initial excitement at me being home and has not communicated since. Kind of like most of my friends. /emo.

Almost Christmas, Charlie! (Anyone love The Best Christmas Pageant Ever? Anyone?--Speaking of: I want to heckle my mom as she tells the Christmas story at church tonight. She'll say something about naming the baby Jesus and I'll yell: "I would have named him Bill!" If none of my flist knows The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, this story has been completely meaningless.)

Happy Christmas, kids. I hope it's a good one.
