Untitled
Pairing: House/Cuddy
Rating: PG-13 (language)
Words: 144
Prompt: Oxygen

She doesn’t know how they started. It was with yelling, she’s sure. Because everything they do is with yelling. (Even the sex.)
She doesn’t remember the first time he kissed her. She should, right? That’s something you should remember. That’s something a girl should remember about a guy she’s fucking (falling in love with. Fallen in love with.)
She uses words like “fucking” and “screwing” and “quickie” so she can believe it’s just sex, so she can believe it’s meaningless. It’s easy to believe because nothing changes; it’s hard to believe (because it’s not true) because nothing Lisa Cuddy has ever done has been meaningless. It hard to believe (because dammit it means something) because he kisses her so hard she can’t breathe. He smothers her and she lets him. He’s always been too much for her. (He’s never been enough.)
