John,

Thank you SO much for letting me know about the customer service problem. I'll be sure to look into it. Perhaps they were routed to us while your secretary was busy with work away from her desk.

I can safely say that nobody in my office is sitting around playing deathcheckers on their computers. Where did you get such an idea? Have you had problems with employees doing that? I hope you still aren't, as it would not surprise me if the corporate board paid you a surprise inspection soon. It has been a while since this division had one. I would hate to see your division have any problems with the board, especially in light of the declining sales numbers last quarter.

I appreciate you mentioning this to me though!

Erica,

Rest assured that our department is performing quite well compared to other departments here and abroad despite the current recession. If you had attended the quarterly performance meeting you might have noticed several of the graphs we prepared on that. It also may behoove you to know that we had deathcheckers removed from our computers three years ago. Games such as that serve to slow productivity, especially in a COMPETETIVE field such as marketing.

Speaking of competition, I'm excited to see the results of Project Falling Star. Everyone throughout WNAD is. We're especially eager to see how much profit there is to be made in outer space. It's a totally untapped market, after all. Once you hit the jackpot, whatever that might be, I'm sure our bottom line will explode.

And it was pleasure to keep you updated on your subordinates' behavioral problems. Feel free to ask June any questions you may have about the incident I mentioned. It took her an hour to calm the gentleman down.

John,

It was disappointing that I could not make the quarterly performance meeting. Unfortunately, at the time I had an important meeting with the Vice President of Human Resources.

An interesting choice you made in spending the money to modify your employees' consoles. One might think that it reflects poorly on your training department that your employees were not able to maintain a fully productive working environment without such intervention. I'm sure you did what was necessary though. You've always been hands on with your staff.

I am glad to hear you are excited about Project Falling Star. I don't remember you expressing the same level of excitement about Project Culture Shock, so I appreciate that you anticipate success for our new project. I remember skepticism expressed over how much profit there was to be made underwater, so I am pleased you can appreciate this department's ability to turn a profit with this new project.

If I have any more questions regarding the incident I will be sure to contact June, if she isn't otherwise occupied.
