GOODS & STAGE
UCHIWA
I used my
light up mini uchiwa because I couldn’t think of how to decorate the neon pink one I’d bought... (-_-;) I suppose I could’ve just held it up blank. LoL!
OUTFIT
I wanted to compensate for the bright pink feather boa so I wore a blue top and ended up with
this. I actually did my hair and repainted my
nails.

VENUE
Osakajo Hall. I had a decent seat in the middle, row 9. The stage setup was one main stage witha hanamichi along the edges. There was a hanamichi from the main stage to the central round stage. From here, moveable trolleys would go from the center stage to the backstage or from side to side.

PRE-SHOW
I kept forgetting what time the show was going to start! I also had only ridden the Osaka Loop Line once before for the FToN tour. I managed to make it alright. (.^_^)v
Here's what I wrote while waiting for the show to start --
"I'm now sitting outside Osakajo Hall by the fountain. It's kind of cold but it's sunny too... so it's 'hotto kuuru.' Haha. My students are such dorks and use that phrase a lot.
"I woke up with plenty of time to spare again. Oh, my nightlife has become nonexistant lately. Oh well. Johnny's. Nightlife. Johnny's. Nightlife. Hmmm...
"The trainride down was uneventful. The guy next to me was reading an English Idioms textbook. I now have 'a bolt out of the blue' in my head. Do we even use that phrase anymore? (^_^?)
"I had no idea which train to get on at Osaka for Osakajo Hall. I took a guess and figured if I was wrong, I train went in a loop anyway and the worst that would happen would be that I would have to go to the goods line later.
"I got to the venue at the perfect time. There wasn't a line whatsoever for goods so I got everything and sat down. I debated about getting back in line for Tackey's clearfile because I'd gotten the group one but... Oh well... (.^_^)
"So, what should I do for the next hour?"
LoL. I'm so boring. I ended up eating some fried chicken and then went into the venue.

SHOW part 1
I found my seat and thanked the Johnny’s computer system for loving Weesa-chan so much when it came to Tackey. I wasn’t the closest seat but I wasn’t the furthest either. I was actually in an excellent center seat where I was able to see everything. I was pleased. (.^_^)v
I was kind of early and looked around. The stage setup was really neat with a large lotus in the center. Along the sides, there were screens and lots of LCD displays. These were kind enough to display the names of songs at times.
The two girls behind me were super big T&T fans. One was a Tackey fan and the other Tsubasa. They were too adorable in their matching outfits. They were also very energetic and loud. I’m probably the same at a KJ8 concert. LoL!
About 5 minutes before showtime, they began chanting, “Tackey! [clap clap] Tsubasa! [clap clap] Tackey! [clap clap] Tsubasa! [clap clap]”
Soon the lights dimmed and it was time for the concert to begin. Yea! o(^_^)o
The Jr.s entered wearing red coats and shirts. A woman’s voice gave the cheesiest English speech in the cheesiest voice ever. “Welcome to our concert. We thank you all for being here. Without you... without your support... without your love... we wouldn’t be here. We would like to dedicate this concert to you... and our love always... because, you know, in life, all you need is love. Now, on your left -- Hikeaki Takizawa; on your right -- Tsubasa Imai. Here you are, introducing, Tackey and Tsubasa.”
From that, they went into the opening notes of “Venus.” Everyone cheered. The lotus flower blossomed to reveal the two of them -- Tackey on the left and Tsubasa on the right. (.^_^) They were standing in front of mic stands that were bright pink and bright green, respectively. The boys were wearing long sparkly white coats that dazzled and shimmered. (☆_☆)
Part way through, they left the lotus flower and finished the song on the main stage with the Jr.s dancing behind them.
They continued right into “Ho! Summer.” As they danced, they moved to the center stage. Oh! This is such a fun song! They have such fun singing and dancing to this one, as do I. (.^_^)v
They stepped onto a trolley that moved them forward towards the back substage during “Hito natsu no...”
From there, they jumped onto cranes and were lifted into the air. The lights had dimmed so only silhouettes of a quick costume change could be seen. The resulting outfit for “One Day, One Dream” was... special. It was white with two long things protruding from a mass of feathers on their shoulders. LoL! This was a fun song!
At the end of it, they returned to the main stage. There, they jousted a tad with their pointy shoulder costume thingies before taking their spots. It was time for “Ai Shiteruze T&T!” Tsubasa was raised upon a pedestal and was the first to speak.
“Have you ever seen this guy dance? In concerts and on TV, he’s always messing up. ???. Takizawa Hideaki!”
“Tackey! Tackey!”
Tsubasa was lowered and Tackey was raised for his part. He dramatically responded to what Tsubasa had said.
“What? We’ve been a unit for 4 years. Let’s get married already. From now on, your name is Takizawa Tsubasa!”
The look on Tsubasa’s face was priceless!
“Tsubasa! Tsubasa!”
Tackey’s pedestal was lowered and Tsubasa’s was raised once more.
“It’s been almost a year and a half since our last concert. Thank you for waiting for us. We love you!”
“You-tachi! You-tachi!”
I couldn’t keep a straight face because saying that made me think of KJ8’s Christmas Party 2004 and the “All English” MC segment. “You... you touchi?” Hahaha! Yes, you’ll soon realize that all things, even others JE groups, will come back to KJ8. (^_^;)
At the end of this song, Tackey went to the edge of the mainstage furthest from me and Tsubasa came to the edge closest to me. Tackey held his hand up to his ear.
“Tackey!” shouted his side of the audience.
Tsubasa followed suit.
“Tsubasa!” we shouted.
They went back and forth like this a couple of times before Tackey stamped his foot like a toddler and held his hand to his ear again.
“Tackey!!”
Tsubasa went to unzip his pants... but didn’t.
“Wah~! Tsubasa!!”
Tackey ran down along the side of the hanamichi and held his hand to his ear again.
“Tackey!”
Tsubasa did the same.
“Tsubasa!”
Tackey grabbed the waist of his white pants and dramatically tore them off to reveal the black ones underneath. The fangirls all screamed and cheered in delight. Tackey gestured to Tsubasa to take his pants off too but Tsubasa was too busy walking to the substage. He finally did with extra dramatic flourish. They walked around the hanamichi and returned to the main stage.
The resulting outfit was black pants with a red coat. They had a mini MC and introduced the next song to be “KAKKO tsukanai Tonight.” They tried to teach us the dance but they lost us past the “Oh! Kami-sama”-raise-your-hand-to-the-sky-part. (-_-;) LoL!
I love this song! I was so happy they’d sing it since I saw them perform it on Music Station. They were so cool during this song! They also provided a bit of fan service at the very beginning with the “When our eyes meet” line... Kekeke.
They performed all of this song on the mainstage. Partway through, they climbed up onto the platform where the lotus flower was and began “Natsu no Kaze.” Yea! This is such a pretty song. Near the end, Tsubasa snuck off stage to get ready for his next song.
The lights darkened and a cloud of smoke filled the mainstage. Tsubasa came out with a guitar and after a brief guitar session with the guitarist of FIVE and such, he went into a super cool performance of “Toriko.” He was awesome! It was so cool with him in the black suit just singing this rock-ish song. He was smexy (yes, I’ve borrowed this word and have put it in my vocabulary for future unlimited use). I wish there was a recording of this song!
When he finished, the spotlight switched to Tackey sitting on a chair on the centerstage in red piped black pants, black sleeveless shirt and a black vest. He was drinking a beverage from a wine glass. A waiter came and he traded the empty glass for a Rubix Cube. After a couple of twists and turns, he blew on it and it was magically solved. Tackey must adore this trick because it was the same one from One! ~the history of Tackey~. (.^_^)
The back up dancers for this song were wearing white masks and black jackets. Oh! We can’t forget about the hat! Tackey was wearing a black hat during this! Yea! Hats! His performance of “Black Butterfly” was awesome and just as dynamic as when he performed it at One!. Actually, I just realized this -- it was exactly the same with him being served and everything.
During the next song, “Mermaid,” there were mermaids swimming on the LCD screens with them on the mainstage. There might’ve been a costume change somewhere. I don’t remember. They were crafty and hid them well because they kept changing them slightly and they would just suddenly appear in new outfits. (-_-;) Or I just wasn’t as observant as usual... I fail. LoL!
It went directly from that song into “Kamen.” They had the PV playing on the back screen. Both of them had masks and it was just so cool! I love this song! The performance and dancing is too cool to describe so I’m not even going to attempt it. (.^_^)
Next, they were on the centerstage and were singing “”Ai zoi kyoku.” They all had batons to twirl and dance with. At the very end, they tossed them into the floor seats for a fan or two to take home.

SHOW part 2
They then switched moods from super smexy to super dorky. Tackey and Tsubasa put on these awful sparkly purple blazers and really cute black rimmed glasses. Tackey said they were going to be salarymen for a bit and even had nametags on their lapels/pockets. “Dame” started. The dance for this was so cute! Partway through, Tackey and the Jr.s all did a congo/bunny hop line down the hanamichi towards the mainstage. The song finished up with just the Jr.s onstage. I didn’t notice at first but on the VTR, there was a video of Tackey and Tsubasa being total dorks backstage -- making faces at the camera, just walking back and forth, sticking their faces really close to the camera, etc. (.^_^) It was too cute!
Then, just when you thought they couldn’t get any more adorable, they appeared on trolley carts located at opposite sides of the arena floor seating wearing stuffed animal heads. Kawai~i! (>_<) Tsubasa had on a bear’s head and Tackey a reindeer’s. Tackey was also wearing sunglasses. Both of them donned super sparkly prismatic silvery coats. Kira kira! (☆_☆)
Throughout the song, “Love Lucky,” Tsubasa kept leaning over the side of the cart to let fans pet him like a cute puppy dog. At the end, they returned to the hanamichis and walked around them to the mainstage while singing, “Ai SHITAGARI.” They paused to wave at fans on their way up. They would always turn to look at the floor seats though when they got to my part of the hanamichi so all I got glimpses of would be their behinds...
Once they were at the mainstage, they took off their animal heads, much to the audience’s disappointment, and began the MC. They thanked us for coming and such. They mentioned that they’d arrived in Osaka the day before and after rehearsal went for some sushi. Somehow, they also got on the topic of karaoke and parties. Tsubasa imitated someone drunkenly walking. Tackey said that Tsubasa sang a lot of “X JAPAN” at a party a while back. [tries to remember]
They sang “Mirai Koukai” before calling out the Jr.s. One of them did a double turn in the air. We all “Ooo~”d. Another kid tried to do the same but fell on his butt at the end. He said he was fine but a little embarrassed. Aww... Poor kid. There was some talk with the Jr.s before one of them began teaching us the dance to “Hey! Listen to the Music.” One of the others sang. We went through the routine many times. LoL!
During this part, Tackey and Tsubasa snuck off for a costume change and break. When Tackey came back out, he was wearing white pants, and a pink fluffy vest. He sat on the steps and watched the little Jr. fumbling his way through the MC with a look that combined encouragement and amusement. He interjected, wondering whether we really understood the dance moves, once in a while.
“Stand up please!”
The next numbers were “queen of R,” “Hey! Listen to the Music“ and “Ai Check it!” I recognized the last one from when I’d watched the Spring Concert at Renee’s a bit ago. They were all fun with lots of audience participation.
Once those were complete, the main screen showed a VTR that had images from “Enbujo,” “One!” and “Dream Boys.” It ended with “Takizawa Hideaki” and the opening of “Taste me.” He’d changed from the puffy vest to a long white non-sparkly coat.
Tackey moved from the mainstage to the center one. The lights dimmed and the centerstage rose into staggered steps as he sang, “12 gatsu no hana.” Oh! It was so pretty! The centerstage revolved with him on the very top and the steps spiraling downwards towards the main floor. Little twinkly lights shone around. (☆_☆) I was so dazzled by the pretty.
Another VTR appeared on the screen -- this time images of Tsubasa and the name “Imai Tsubasa.” The stage lights were dim and Tsubasa and a Jr. came out onto the mainstage. Tsubasa was in a white shirt and black pants; the Jr. the opposite. Tsubasa sang, “Slave of Love” while the two of them did a lovely chair dance. It was a lovely chair dance, indeed... (♥_♥)
After introducing the Jr.s, they went into “Diamond.” There were cool little crystal fragments playing on the backscreen and LCD screens while they performed on the mainstage. Then it was “Pride, the end.” When “REAL DX” started, the girls behind me let out two ear splitting shrieks of joy. Am I that loud at KJ8 concerts outside of the encore chant?! (O.o) The outfit here were the green velour looking suits.
Then it went into “Kamira☆Tamara” and “Ikiteru Akashi.” Tacky and Tsubasa, wearing ripped jeans and long black coats with tan splotches and “2wo You 4or You” at the small of the back, were on the mainstage, then riding the trolley carts and spraying people with smoke machine guns. There were lots of waving. There was a really loud pyrotechnics blast that scared the hell out of me. Haha!
Tackey and Tsubasa moved onto the cranes and as they were being raised up and “Sora no SCREEN” started, they and everyone else twirled the red tour towels in the air. I didn’t have one so I twirled the end of the pink feather boa I was wearing instead. (.^_^)
For “Michi,” They started from the backstage and walked around the hanamichi to the main stage. It seemed as though the concert was over but Tackey’s voice sang, “Dare mo shirani...” a capella. It then went into the regular version fast version of “Yumemonogatari!” Yea!! (^o^)/ They had us sing the chorus parts and shout out “Tackey” and “Tsubasa” and such and wah~! It was just fun to hear this song live and do the participation dance and everything. [squee~!] I was so worried they were going to do the Christmas mix version. (ToT) But they didn’t. (.^_^)v
My memory may be making this up but I think they exited by walking back into the lotus petals where they began the show. (^_^?)
We all began the Tackey and Tsubasa chant and they came back out with signboards, which they threw into the audience during “Hoshi Sora” and “Love Spiral.” They were having some problems with getting them to fly though and they kept flying back. They should sign Frisbees again! Though, those would probably hurt too if you got smacked in the face with them...
Lots of waving, lots of smiles, and some fanservice during the encores... Tackey only kept showing me his backside though. LoL!

THOUGHTS
(O.O)
(.♥_♥)
(☆_☆)
Tackey! Tsubasa! Otsukare~! It was an awesome show and I enjoyed every minute of it. You entertained and enthralled and amazed me. I was a bit more prepared for yours than I was for my very first KJ8 concert but I got such a newbie rush from watching your concert. There were so many things that were the same and so many things that were different from what I was used to. You were so polished your small interludes of random dorky craziness. (.^_^) I can’t wait to see your “Everyone *must* have a good time!” tour.
Thank you
renchan5 for introducing me to Tackey and Tsubasa by getting me to go see One! ~the history of Tackey~. Thank you
weesachan for getting the ticket for me! I had so much fun!
