[Gorilla Theatre]
The opening VTR looked like the TOEI logo but with “KanJani” instead. The same music from “If or...” was used at the beginning. It gave all of the common sense rules about manners during a concert with the guys dressed in gorilla costumes and acting like fools. LoL! Definitely a highlight. Oh, and it ended with Gorilla!Okura suavely looking directly into the camera and telling us to enjoy the show. OK... anything you say, ‘Kura-chan... (*^_^*)
[Musekinin Hero]
As the guys’ faces were flashed across the screen, the centerstage slowly rose. The sparkly curtain underneath it was caught on something and someone rushed to fix it. The outfits were an interesting bright pink getup. I was busy staring at Okura. [shrugs] (*^_^*)
[It’s My Soul]
Okura looked like he was doing “Sukiyanen, Osaka” choreography instead for a second there. Maru! looked like he was really getting into it. Okura needs a haircut.
[KanFu Fighting]
They went to the substage side and performed on platforms that rose up and down. Fabric was strung between them to look like a dragon. During the talking part, they kept saying the same thing over again. Can’t remember which line... Maru!’s? I think Yoko forgot his line.
[Ichibyou Kiss]
Mainstage. Couldn’t see.
[Glorious]
Okura walked down the hanamichi between the mainstage and substage to announce the next song -- “Glorious.” Ooo... I was so hoping for his solo instead of the unit song... [disappointed] The PV was on the VTR. Okura was on the substage raised platform for this one.
[kicyu]
BEST. THING. EVER! This might’ve been my favorite number. Yoko and Shota appeared on centerstage wearing fabulously gaudy outfits. Shota looked like the Mad Hatter with his bright green top hat and pink glasses. I can’t remember Yoko’s outfit but I think it was black shorts and glasses. They started it off with a crazy dance with circling arms and fancy poses from Shota. Midway, they left the centerstage and jumped onto some trolley carts that traveled towards the backstage. Partway through, mini rainbow colored streamers were shot off into the arena. On the VTR, the psychotic lips were dancing away and showing the participation dance. The song ended with Yoko hugging Shota from behind on the substage in a cutesy “torn”-like fashion.
[You Can See]
Shota was holding two red banners that shot around the arena to reveal Maru! and Hina. Red confetti was blown upwards into the air. The PV was on the VTR. Umm... at the end of the song, a bunch of red banners were hanging over the mainstage and they fell at the very end.
[Puzzle]
They had changed into a blue outfit with white gloves. Okura kept holding his earpiece to his ear whenever he was on the VTR. They appeared one by one at different places on the hanamichi. The VTR showed itty-bitty KJ8 with a puzzle piece missing. The piece would turn yellow and then, in a flash, change into a current picture. Ryo -> Okura -> ???.
[Kawaita Hana]
Mainstage. Couldn’t see. Love this song though!
[Eight Rangers]
Before the theme song, there was a VTR about where all of the Rangers were now that there was peace around Eito City. Okura ate and ate and ate. Adorable. Maru! became a body builder like his parents and flexed for the camera. Shota was in a dressing room putting on make up. Subaru became a... [giggle] sumo wrestler but only had one match. Hina was rich. Ryo bungee jumped. Black gave a cute little smirk.
The VTR during the theme song looked like a Nintendo game. The plot had a West Side Story feel complete with dance “fights.” Green was New Blue; Black was New Red; Orange was New Yellow. ITO was on the “black” side with them. Those who kept their original colors were “white.”
When New Blue was fighting Blue, he performed Genta’s death move.
New Red accidentally shot a gun and New Blue was supposed to be “shot” like during the KFF Tour but the explosives didn’t go off.
During the fight scene, Nasu got in the way and was stabbed. At this moment the boys realized that they belonged together and shouldn’t fight. They went to the mainstage and put puzzle pieces onto a glass with a camera underneath it. The VTR showed them placing each piece down. New Red mocked Nasu’s smile.
Soon, all of the pieces were in place except one. Ryo’s face was missing! Nasu sat up and pulled it out of his pants, showing that it saved him from being stabbed. He placed it into the puzzle with a click and everything was all peachy again.
[Donna ni Hanaretetatte Soba ni iru kara]
At some point during the show, the New Rangers changed back to their original colors. This song was rather fitting for the skit.
Autographed balls were thrown into the audience. So many came so close and yet so far away...
[Kigamajime waga Faito]
Don’t really remember... I remember the line that led into it was really awkward. Heh.
[MC]
Ryo mentioned that he felt his age because of his eyesight. They made him read a sign in the arena that said, “Nishikido,” which is a company that makes manju but it has a different kanji for “do.”
Yoko told a story about how he thought they’d made a mistake with the lyrics, which had “Happy Birthday” in the previous song, but then he realized that they were celebrating his birthday on the actual day; not waiting for the first show.
They celebrated Yoko’s birthday. The Veterans brought out a cake which had lotsa strawberries and two candles, “28.” He opened up his gifts with Subaru(?), Shota(?) and Maru! doing some weird rap thing in the background with random English. When Yoko opened one of the presents, he asked what something was and Maru! said it was from Kyoto. Oops. Yoko also got smiley puzzles, Dragonball puzzles and a bunch of other things.
After that, they made him sing two songs like last year. The first one was about ??? and the second one was about how being in KJ8 was the best. Aww... (*^_^*)
[Veterans -- Explosion]
Hee~! ITO~!
[Akai Shinkirou]
Don’t remember much... They were wearing velvety outfits with purple trim.
[Brulée]
Somehow, they turned this into a dance song ala “Kemuri”/“Explosion” with fire and intricate choreography. Okura had his hair pulled back in a half-ponytail.
[My Last Train]
Maybe this was the song where they ended up on centerstage with it revolving around.
[Osaka Rainy Blues]
Or was it this one? The penlights were pretty.
[Zuccoke Otoko Michi]
KanJimi3 left partway through. I was too busy doing the participation dance to really notice though. Heh.
[Do You Agree?]
After the KanJimi3 session, suddenly, from the sea of fangirl heads that blocked my view of the mainstage, Okura and his drumset rose upwards like... like... like a... Oh, enter your own cheezy simile here. (*^_^*) He remembered to sing his parts and acted like RockStar!Okura. However, the sound guys messed up his “Do you agree?” line! Jerks. Haha.
[GORI GORI]
RockStar!Okura. Okura leaned his head backwards with a drumstick raised in the air before going back into head banging, hair flying all over mode.
[Jonetsu Party]
RockStar!Okura.
[Rolling Coaster]
Seriously? This was unexpected. I mean, it was unexpected for the last song. The VTR had different screens and different guys on each screen. Okura put on a hat for this song. He was also mouthing along to some of the lyrics while drumming. I really like this song along with Brulée from the new album. Did I imagine Shota running his tongue along the guitar strings? So much confetti was blown into the arena! Want... (*^_^*)
[Encore -- Mugendai, Saiteiki yo]
They weren’t wearing the tour T-shirts at the end. Well, I don’t think Okura was at least. When he threw his last autographed board, he flubbed it.
[Encore2 -- Wahhahhaa]
Subaru missed his line and Yoko(?) told him that he should sing. When Hina was thanking the fans, Okura looked like he was having some sort of fit with his exaggerated arm movements while trying to mock Hina. LoL.

Overall... Compared to other tours, I wasn’t too impressed by the entire show. It didn’t help that the sound levels were *terrible*. I never expect fabulous audio at concerts but it kept cracking and was awful... I also couldn’t see anything on the main stage, the area right below me. The streamers were cool though! I saw a bunch of girls with them after the show. Want! Haha.
The setlist felt rather awkward and forced. The stage setup was average. The costumes were so-so and lacked proper shimmer and blinding sparkle. There was only one set of costumes that I really liked. The show had its bright moments [squee][squeal] but, like I said, compared to other tours, it felt thrown together and is in the bottom rankings. Perhaps it’ll improve as the tour continues? f(^_^;)

After the show, I darted towards the Peace Memorial Park. I’d been there a few times before so I knew which things I wanted to see once again. I’ll post pictures later. For now, I’m off to catch my (k)night bus for a much needed full weekend away from here. The itinerary includes seeing some friends, meeting new people, having some yakitori, playing at a TV station, petting some kitties and enjoying a few concerts. (.^_^)
HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY, ‘Kura-chan! ♥
