Forever in a Day
Saw a pair of wood ducks on the creek today. They didn't spot me and scatter, so I was able to admire them through binoculars. The bald eagle across the creek was rather vocal, although I couldn't spot the reason why.
The coolish spell will break overnight, they say. I keep hoping it's the last one. Maybe this time.
MNP twisted his ankle while we volunteered at Fort D. on Monday. He went back to work today, although he's definitely in pain and has a multicolored, swollen ankle. (This, by the way, should not persuade anyone to not volunteer. Just watch your step when you're carrying something heavy downstairs and already have a naughty ankle.)
The grant continues to kick my ass. Woah, is it detailed in hellish ways. If I don't get this, I'm going to be irritated. Most of the minor stuff is done as far as must-get-done-before-vacation, but I have this damned prosposal and a final report still to write. I imagine I will be working much overtime in the next week.
Not to mention that I still need to do taxes and some pre-vacation cleaning. Rarrgh. Make it stop spinning, and then maybe I'd have forever in a day. Then again, there'd be no vacation. Just one out of reach. Time stoppage sucks.
