We start off with some dark corridors, and then a beautiful camera pan up Itachi, starting at his feet, lingering at his hands, and then segueing into a flashback of Sasuke when he was adorable. IF THEY ARE TRYING TO GIVE ME A FANGASM WITHIN THE FIRST TWENTY SECONDS OF VIDEO, I'VE GOT NEWS: IT'S WORKING.
And then YOUNG!ITACHI DOING THAT SHURIKEN THING omg it's gorgeous, it's beautiful, I am in love *__*

Oh man, just. Yeah. And the opening shot of Itachi saying to himself, "My foolish little brother," strongly implies that this is his flashback, and just oh god I want to hug him. ;___; (so this is kind of good for my XI muse as well)
OH HEY A NEW SCENE WITH ANBU!ITACHI OMG
They strongly imply that if Itachi didn't kill his family, the rest of the ANBU would be sent in instead (and probably suffer more casualties in the attempt, being that they don't have Sharingan or whatever the reason was that only Itachi could do it GEEZ, WAY TO GIVE A GUY A CHOICE, YOU BASTARDS). And he's all "no! wait!" and omg he has ~emooootions~ and WAIT A FRACKING SECOND
THIS FLASHBACK IS TAKING PLACE BEFORE THE REVEAL!

(I guess maybe the rest of the scene will be vagueish, and after all, anyone watching who doesn't already know the spoiler will only see him just being in ANBU doing whatever mysterious ANBU stuff. BUT STILL!) Wait, no! Itachi says, "I will settle this with my own hands." That's-- The anime people are not impressing me with their ability to be vague at all. -___- (of course, it doesn't matter to me, being already informed, but you know, I have principles and stuff)
Oh hey, look, it's Fugaku being a dick. WHAT A TWEEST.
And omg Itachi ;__; He says to his parents, "I'm going on a mission tomorrow," (being the scene where Sasuke hears them yelling at him for missing the meeting) and you can hear the difference in his voice from when he's talking to Sasuke or when he's protesting to the ANBU guy--here, he speaks a tiny bit more slowly, more deliberately, as if he memorized what he was going to say, and it's delivered with just...nothing behind it. The mask. The same way he kind of speaks now, always very slowly, always revealing no emotion...
*sniff* Okay, I said I wasn't going to cry. I did. I--Itachi, why you make me so sad ;__;
Baww, and it gives a new kind of sadness to the scene where Sasuke's like "Dad loves you mroe than me :c" and Itachi suddenly kind of smiles self-deprecatingly and looks up and says, "You probably hate me, don't you?" The anime gives Sasuke's reaction as kind of this slightly taken-aback look, like, "what, no, how could you get hate out of that? D:!" It comes off as Itachi kind of...jumping to a weird conclusion, because in his mind, Sasuke should hate him, for what he's about to do. It's like he's trying to verbally resign himself to the fact that Sasuke is going to hate him, soon.

Baawww, but that's the fun of it! He's the 237-chapter flying brick joke!)

She's like, "I know you're busy with work, but try to join the family for dinner once in a while," and then kind of leaves, and he quietly says, "Arigatou...kaa-san," and I will not cry, not going to cry...
AND THEN THEY SHOW HIM GEARING UP IN HIS MISSION OUTFIT OH MY GOD IT'S TIME OMGOMGOMGOMG D8 (As an unrelated observation, wearing his headband makes him look a lot closer to his actual age of thirteen (probably because it pulls his hair up so it doesn't look so long.))

Oh my god, and when Sasuke walks in, Itachi's face is just utterly--devoid of anything. Actually, no, I take that back, there is this kind of anger there.

And then the flashback ends there, with a fading from Itachi's face after saying "It was very important," to just him sitting in the cool chair with his eyes closed.

bawww, Itachi looks so happy when he realizes Sasuke's figured out that there had to be someone else. And then he's like, "Uchiha...Madara," and Sasuke's all like ZOMG WTF, and then we get a fun shot of the statue in the Valley of the End. (but no Tobi sitting on it! Baww, that's the best part!)
