My boyfriend, Marlon, has been keeping me updated on the decreasing health of his best friend's grandmother, who is her mother figure. Tonight, they took her off life support, and the prognosis is grim. She is minimally responsive at this point. She has anywhere from one night to a few weeks left. Please keep her comfort and safe passage in your thoughts and prayers.
All my best thoughts go to Kandi, as she braces for a whole new set of responsibilities. She lives with her Gram and her mentally impared uncle. Without Gram there, Kandi will be fully responsible for Larry. This is a difficult transition, and I hope things go as smoothly as they can.
