Well tomorrow is the day that my hubby goes in for his deviated septum surgery aka rhinoplasty. Seriously, he needs the DS surgery and the only way the doctor can fix it is to straighten his nose. He never broke it, but because of all the surgery's he had as a kid and into his late teens, with a tube up his nose, it actually made it crooked or should I say it curves to the right just a bit. It really is a nose of character, but because his breathing (especially at night) is pretty rough, it was time to take care of this problem. It helps if your neighbor is a plastic surgeon and that insurance is covering ALL of it. He is a bit freaked out right now, but I know he'll be ok. No eating after midnight, shit he is going to be so hungry in the morning.
The kids are curious as to how it is going to look and if it will change his looks any. It will only make him better looking! That is what I tell them!

My Mom is doing great. She is going to the doctors tomorrow morning and then will have another catscan tomorrow night. We will have the test results next week when she goes back on Wednesday to have the staples removed. As long as the hubby is ok on Saturday and we can leave him for a few hours so he can have some R&R with the dog, maybe we'll pop on down to see her and this way the girls can see her staples. They are such kids!

So my SIL (not the f***ed up SIL) is back working in our business. She decided that she could not handle the pressures of "big" clients who demand a ton of your time and attention, and she could not work with her husband, like I can work with mine. So she approached my hubby because we were still looking for a graphic artist. I hope that in 6 months she doesn't decide that this is not what she wants to do, because if she does that will be the last and final straw. I tried to get the hubby to have her sign a waiver that she won't collect unemployment from us again if she does decide to quit and go back to work for her hubby. She did that last time. Nothing grinds me more. But it is all water under the bridge. So far so good and she is an asset to the company because she is very talented. Another thing is that she doesn't have her Mom to call to fight her battles for her anymore. No disrespect to my MIL r.i.p., but she did always seem to get her way when her Mom was pushing the hubby to do what the SIL wanted to do. NOT ANYMORE! Our business, our rules, so to speak. Work is good, business is good, some of my responsibilities have been taken away, which I'm just fine with me. I was taking on some of the office managers duties, while it was just the two of us in the shop.

Happy Friday to everyone!!!

rock on...
