i'm going to write a story for core. if it's good i'll consider posting it, if not, it will be promptly discarded in the recycling bin. because we like trees. but only if they're used a few times over

i believe that most christians believe that they should marry other christians; i think it's even in the catholic doctrines or laws or whatever (the stuff that a bunch of old guys wrote a million years ago that barely anyone takes literally anymore) that interfaith relationships are banned. my parents had to have counseling with a priest before they could get married in a catholic church because my dad was not catholic. but that doesn't answer your question.
i, personally, believe that if you love someone enough to be committed to them, it shouldn't matter if they have the same faith as you or not. but that doesn't answer your question either.
basically, i just rambled and didn't even answer the question. ...not the first time that's happened, i suppose.
i agree with your view on it, but if you are christian, or catholic, and believe you should marry who you love, does that make you less devout in your religion? does it matter? does it mean you're going to hell????
it's probably against something written in the bible. but there are laws against adultery, homosexuality, and lust in the bible; but do all christians believe that these things warrant "going to hell"?
i think religions are more loosely based around some good original ideas that people had a long time ago.. and i think churches (and "god") are more tolerant these days. although, there are some extremists out there... actually, there are a lot of extremists who I'm sure only marry within the church... but perhaps that's only because they believe that not being christian is wrong and wouldn't dream of marrying a nonchristian.
i guess it ulimately depends on how your church, or even you personally, interpret the bible or "god's message".

The protesant faith believes that as long as you accept Christ as your savior, you will go to Heavan. So if you believe that, but love someone of another faith, you are fine. In fact you can do whatever you want, as long as you truly believe He is your savior. Although most who think that way are compelled to make responsible choices.
