Wars are pointless really... useless means to try and win fights that could be easily handled with a few kinds words and some tolerance from others.
That's too easy though, neh? Why don't we kill thousands of innocents just because they were on the wrong side to make a statement? Unfortunately the enemy will respond by doing the same.
Though perhaps do worse? Make a mass causality look like a pebble next to a boulder.
