And Kelli Pickler still makes me want to impale a pen into my eye. And the fact that the judges just eat her up tears me up inside.

I was officially placed in a classroom today. Six kids aged 11-13. Only two of them are really aggressive. One girl bites her arm like she's eating herself for lunch. I've never seen anyone do a self-injurious behavior with such gusto. She wears arm guards so she doesn't cause any more tissue damage than she's already done. All I know is that if she EVER bites me with the same intensity she does herself, I'm in some deep shit. The other aggressive kid scratches and grabs and hits. I prefer that to biting any old day.
There's no guessing as to why this is considered a high burnout job.

Tomorrow's my last day of Orientation. I'm getting re-certified in restraints. Hi, my name is Kim, and I can take a dangerous, aggressive kid to the floor in 2 seconds.
