Forgive a trip back in time, but I need to share this.
I was at a house party in Williamsburg on New Year's Eve and had a lovely time. Angelica, a friend of Farah's, was an excellent hostess and her friends were all very nice. I even got hit on by a young, actually hot music teacher from some upper east side private school.
What really sticks in my head about the party, though, is a conversation I had with this fruity guy who somehow brought the conversation we were having around to the topic of Ferngully. I recited the Batty rap (which I had to do, as the person who always remembers the whole stupid mid-90's cartoon song) for a few lines. At this point, he still hadn't said the movie's name, though I had: FERNgully, right? That's what everyone in the movie calls it. But this guy had better ideas: he called it FernGULly. Over and over and over again.
