ok, first of all, go here: www.reginaspektor.com and listen to some of her music, under the subject heading "music". (handy title no?) Soviet Kitsch rocks. I am now officially obsessed with her. based on her music tastes (listed on myspace... ok i know i'm a little creepy) and her music i think we'd be friends. i need to buy some of her albums. She's from the Bronx- how cool is that. i love outer boroughs.
next- i've been trying to create a little bit of a list of things I want to do so that i don't freak out about the lack of restriction on my life now. my possibilities are now rather limitless, which is amazing and new, and also nerve-wracking, because it means i have to create my own structure. I've been talking a bunch with Jocelyn in our cast, and she's ADed quite a bit, which is encouraging. I'm hoping to do something like that while bartending and figuring out what it is to live on my own. Also, i had an amazing conversation with Gabe (well, i listened to him gush, really) about Salman Rushdie, which reminded me that one of the main things i need to do is rediscover my love of reading, and DO IT A LOT. I've been reading since i got home, but more is always welcome, and Salman Rushdie has been high on my list for the last year and a half or so, just because he keeps popping up everywhere.
I'm currently returning to Shogun, which will take me a while, but I enjoy it, so hey.
I started moving. I moved my books. I need to move the rest of the stuff. that's what these next few days are for.
