It's sinking in
I'm going to be here in Davis for the whole summer. My roomies are leaving three days after school ends for a MAJOR trip all over Europe. They're going to start off in Germany for the World Cup, Greece, Paris, Italy, England(?), etc. Usually they stay and do some summer sessions to get some courses done with, but not this summer. I'm going to have the whole apartment to myself for a month and a half! I haven't decided if this is a good thing or not...
My mom's making me take summer sessions because I didn't get any of the internships I applied for back home and in San Mateo. I think it's good that she pushed me a little bit, because I know this is good for me and I want to graduate in four years. This weekend I went to my friend's house and then came home pretty late. Decided to look for a summer job around here on the school site and found a cool paid internship instead. I applied for it at about 5 am, and now I have an interview for it on Wednesday at noon!
My fingers are really crossed for this one because it's screaming my name. Basically I'd be an intern for the MU Coffeehouse Program Coordinator and get to do some event planning, book and work with bands for shows, and it requires some knowledge of A/V equipment. AHHHHH!!! I was looking for a summer job, but this one doesn't start 'til August 1st and it's for my whole senior year. I reallyyyy hope I get it, but I'm so nervous right now.
But before I can even think about it, I've got three finals tomorrow and one on Thursday afternoon. I also have to write three (short) papers! YES. Worst finals schedule of my college career so far. It's pretty sad because everyone else is pretty much done with finals, and I haven't even started.
I'm turning 21 in less than a month!
P.S. I still hate boys. This doesn't help my study habits either...
