I went to a bar! XD
Seriously. I was bored last night. So I decided to go and walk down Broadway downtown. I walk by this bar, and I hear the most wonderful heavy rock music flooding out of the place. And the band's in the window area with their backs to the street.
So I walked in, a bit nervous, but wanting to hear the music. They did various covers, from Seether to A Perfect Circle to Blue October to Default. Most of the songs I didn't know. But I couldn't just sit there the whole time. I ended up on the floor headbanging and letting loose. It was fun as hell. And, apparently, behind me, a few people followed my lead. I just heard one of the bandmembers telling the owner and pointing at me. XD I also got in good with the drummer (who was possibly the most talented member of the band XD). I was told to take an entourage next time. They just want to party. XD
So, yeah. My neck's still hurting. And after an hour or so, I couldn't hear shit. But, then, neither could the band, by that point. That and their consumption of alcohol began to show in their music. They got just a little off here and there.
But it was fun as hell. Never expected to enjoy myself like that in a bar. I'm gonna go again at some point. Maybe tonight. Maybe not. I have to drive tomorrow. :/
And, gah! Today, when I ran to get lunch, I came out of the place and put the food in the car, and there was a commotion across the street. A pit bull, harnessed and everything, with its owner PICKING IT UP to try to stop it, had attacked a stray German Shepherd. The pit was latched onto the shepherd's flanks. Blood was all over the place. They finally got the shepherd free, and everybody hurled accusations at the dog's owner.
At least it wasn't a child.
I'm not for eradicating pit bulls, because I have seen good ones. But I do think they should be monitored. And maybe you have to earn some sort of liscense for great dog training to own one.
