Here I am in the Denver airport, taking advantage of the wonders that are free wi-fi access. Don't have a lot to say, so here's another brain dump:
- I don't like flying. Or more to the point, I don't like flying alone. It's not bad when you're with someone, but being in an airport with all these unfamiliar faces makes me feel particularly lonely. There might be something wrong with me..
- I'm headed to San Antonio. While there's a part of me that appreciates the fact that I'll be able to add another state to my list of States I've Spent Time In, on the whole, I'd rather be at home.
- Maybe it's the fact that I've flown twice this month (going through Denver both times) and thus my sample size is skewed, but what is it about March and travelling volleyball teams? On my way to Phoenix for spring break, I flew there and back with at least one, sometimes two high school club volleyball teams. So what happens today when I get to the Spokane airport? Another high school volleyball team on their way to Denver. Weird coincidence, or part of an underground volleyball pipeline flowing throughout the western US? You decide.
- By my count, it must be about a week until Opening Day. Not that I'm going to miss winter one bit, but where did the time go? Seems like it was just Christmas yesterday. I don't imagine any National League team will have a chance against the AL in the World Series, but I am looking forward to what should be an amazing four-team race in the NL West between a number of good, mostly young teams. Though I'll enjoy it more when the Dodgers come out on top.
