We've finally got some spring-like weather: cloudy but warm, with temperatures in the mid- to high-50s all weekend, which enabled us to get outside and do some long-anticipated yard cleanup. Plus, Ben's always happier when he can run around outside. You can only make so many laps around the house before you start seeing the same things over and over, after all.
Speaking of Ben:
- Long overdue pictures available at the gallery, including the 2nd birthday and more recent stuff
- I got to indulge in a moment of fatherly pride this weekend. We went down to a park yesterday afternoon and stopped at a little kid-sized playground to spend some time on the slides. There was another little boy already there playing, and the two of them took off playing together like they'd known each other their whole lives, chasing each other up, down and around the playground equipment, giggling the whole way. It's always been one of my goals to raise a child who's not as shy as his father was (and often still is), so while I realize he's still just over two years old, seeing him happy to go play with other kids made me really, really happy.
