Synopsis:
Last Friends tackles issues that afflict the current generation. Michiru's mother has brought a man back to their home and she is bullied at her workplace where she works as a beauty parlour assistant. She starts cohabiting with her boyfriend, a good young man who works at the Child Welfare Division and the only person who can give her emotional support, but ends up the victim of domestic violence and becomes fearful of love. The boyishly charming Ruka was a classmate of Michiru's in junior high school. She has performed brilliantly as a motocross racer and aims to win the national championship, but as the story progresses, a deep worry that she can neither confide in her parents or close friends grows evident. Takeru is a hair and makeup artist acquainted with Ruka. He is a good confidant to females due to his kindness and perceptiveness, and finds himself attracted to Ruka but has a phobia of sex as a result of a past trauma. The three of them become house mates and through their associations with others, gain the capacity to be positive about life. - jade_frost

(1st episode) Read around and a lot of people are raving about this. Also, it won quite a few popular awards. I HAD to make this into my next drama. Fortunately, yt has it online, so it is easy for me to convert to psp compatible. It is a story narrated by the leading actress, whose bff had died. Her bff turns out to be a tomboy who harbours feelings for her. Wah, she really chased after her when she saw her man. I know they have not seen each other for 4 years. but you would think she would give up after chasing for so long. Luckily for her, they met up.
The intro is really kakkoii! And the actors are sugoi kakkoii! The tomboy is played by Ueno Juri. Wah, I'm very impressed. It did not look like her at all! So, I was trying to guess from the vt who would like who. The main actress has a bf (N. Ryo). It all looks sweet when he asked her to move in with her. The next day only, he turned all psycho. Seriously. And he is supposed to be working for Childcare Services. I know, CRAZY! The woman took it all in. She did run away for a night, but returned the next night. Well, I don't blame her. Her bf looks good in a suit. As I was watching halfway, I realized that the 3rd woman is played by Mizukawa Asami. WAH!!! See, I can also go fangirling on woman, ok? Such a stellar cast! (er... I don't mean Ryo). They are all NC alum - Eita, Asami, and Ueno! And this is after NC! Their value really skyrocketed! Good!!! Eita's character might be gay? I dunno. But I have a feeling that he likes Ueno's character. In the vt, Asami's character is looking after Eita's. Hmmm... i'm so sad for her. I think Ueno's character will die from a motocross accident. Oh yeah, I think Eita's hair is so gay. Haha.. I prefer his hair in NC.
Well, I just watched the last episode yesterday night. What can I say? I'm back to romance! Haha. But this romance story not only got my heart breaking and thumping, but also it got my mind thinking. I really can't imagine how a lbgt feels. Of course, in this drama, they make everything so serious. Ellen and Portia makes it easy. Betty makes it funny. But the idea of having thoughts that you are abnormal is unsettling. One can't imagine the turmoil and struggle they have to face. And I'm persevering to be like Takeru-kun. He's just thoughtful and kind to others. Sosuke... they got me fool lah. I really thought Ruka is gonna die. Up till the last second you know. BF is just crazy! I thought, hmmm how to save the relationship. I think even a counsellor would not be able to cure him. At least there's a happy ending for Ogurin. Her perseverance worked out. And he is a nice guy. Though he may be baka at times. Plus the song is sugoi! I'm just a prisoner of love. Lol. Wonder what show I want to watch next.
I won't say much, coz it would not do the show justice. Just watch it.
