Comments:
Yup, Bussan returns as a ghost. Corny, I know. I can't really choose which is worse. This or the previous one. I think it's this one. Coz it's out of the world. Imdb even categorized it as bizarre comedy. LOL.
So what's the world part about? I was anticipating international, but no, only Ani and Master went out of Kisarazu. Ani went 'to work' in central Tokyo, while Master set up a shop in some other native county. Bambi is working as an aide to the some sort of mayor (well, he is a graduate afterall) but still in Kisarazu, and Uchi... er.... a soldier! Haha. Love any blur guy turning into a macho guy.
I suppose these are the 'worldly' aspects of the movie - the Russian ladies at the club, the American baseball team zombies, Bussan's Korean wife.
Opening scene was interesting! Bussan's wife watching a Korean version of KCE. Hilarious! In typical Korean dramedy, everything ended up in tears. SO opposite KCE, which is funny.
Bambi was not enjoying his life as an aide. Plus the fact that Mouko is marrying the short, ugly coach. MAJIDE?! I don't get it! So depressed/bored is Bambi that he's hearing Bussan calling out to him. Dakara, he went to find the others. Apparently, the other 2 are at loggerheads. Over what I still don't know. Mirei-sensei was campaigning to become senator. Argh. So many changes since Bussan's demise.
Uchi became a soldier (!) and was being treated badly by his supervisor, played by Kuriyama Chiaki. While trying to escape the sadist, Uchi befriended an American baseball team of zombies.
Bussan returns as a zombie. All could see him except his father. And the reason for that was shown at the end. His father was the only one at his death bed. How sad. that part was. Touching.
I'm sad that there's no more Bussan/Bambi/Ani/Master/Uchi to look forward too. =( You made me laugh while you lasted. Having been with them for 1 drama (9 episodes) and 2 movies, they will always have a special place in my heart.
