"Those who burn a coil of mosquito incense three times a week will have three times the risk of getting lung cancer than those who don't use incense at all. Sleeping with burning the incense equals to smoking 130 cigarettes.... Those who smoke AND use incense more than three times a week will have 13 times the risk of getting lung cancer.... Experts suggest don't use mosquito incense while sleeping in a room without ventilation."
To this, I gotta say, no shit. Sniffing lungfuls of smoke is going to increase risk of lung cancer any day. Smog is already increasing the risk. Which is why ventilation is important. And yes, there is ventilation when I use mosquito incense, so it's not as bad as the report says. Which also goes to say it's not as deadly as my grandpa claims.
I especially like this comment (translated):
"Didn't 'experts' warn BBQ'ing for two hours is equivalent to smoking 220,000 cigarettes? The fearless have no fear! What's 130 cigarettes when we're not afraid of 220,000 cigarettes?"
and
"Then don't use the incense! Just smoke 130 cigarettes before sleeping! Should yield the same results... =__="
RE: "Yeah, but not before you choke to death ^^;;"
RE: "Cigarettes are more expensive. ^^;; Can't we get the smoker to switch to incense? @_@"
