(no subject)
It's hard to believe we've got a hurricane over us. There's wind in the trees, and rain, and a giant puddle that used to be the pond across the street. (Granted, the trees are probably protecting us from the worst of the wind, because that's the direction the wind's coming from). Power was lost for something like 9 hours (but I wasn't here for most of it, I was at work, since our client never closes. Fun stuff). Addendum: HA! Lost power as I was typing this up. We had turned on netflix and were watching Dr. Who at the time too. XD Decided that it was time to go to bed. Went out this morning (just after the power came back on) and drove around the area. Saw lots of debris, and some downed branches. Some trees blocking the road, or partially blocking the road. Lots of places still don't have power, we're usually one of the first ones to get power back.
On other topics:
I've been having trouble doing any serious writing. Muses have basically disappeared, and left me in absorb mode. Spending most of my time reading (books [So many many many] and manga [Full Metal Alchemist!! X3]) and watching stuff (Full Metal Alchemist!! Dr. Who! etc etcetc). What muse is there are only in whispers, oh and gamegamegamegamegamegame. I've been managing to poke a fic that's has desperately needed editing. And Original Stuff has been rolling through my head. (and dragons! mmmmm dragondragondragondragondragon).
Cheese balls!
I'm off to work on more editing.
