Yup I went today. Bought the tickets ages ago for Andrew and myself. It was present to him for christmas/birthday and just a general thanks for driving me around and the like for the last few months.
Gawd it was expensive but worth every penny! I have to go again! (Which mum seems to be interested. Yay!)
I loved everyone in it. They are faithful to the movie and inventive with the stage adaptations. Clever, awesomely funny and extremely entertaining.
I gained a number one crush out of it all too. Daniel Scott, who plays Felicia/Adam (played by Guy Pearce in the movie). He's STUNNING. Omigawd when he came out in the bondage gear and sang Venus I creamed myself then and there! He was so cute during it all too, with his little boyish smiles and giggles. Naww I would have raped him on stage if I didn't want to ruin the show for everyone else in the theater.
I thought that was considerate of me.
In the end I got a program book (bought for me by Andrew. Thanks darling!), t-shirt with the girls on it and a cute stiletto broach.
All my moneys are gone again but it was so worth it.
The girls. They all did a great job. Though I wasn't the biggest fan of Bernadette in this. Purely for the fact no one could beat Terance Stamp in that performance.
The dancing was wonderfully preformed. Choreographing (is that a word?) was awesome!
Daniel Scott on the left. Naww my gawd I could kiss him!
The Venus routine. Nuff said. *cream*
And one more of Felicia, for good measure. Because everyone should love him.
