i've decided my sabatical from livejournal is over. at least for today, anyway...
i am sick. like congested-sinuses/coughing-up-a-lung sick. not so fun. cough drops are my bestest friends. so is NeoCitran...lovely stuff. oooo, and Advil Cold & Sinus... (all my bestest friends live at the drugstore).
Mar's 24th birthday was Thursday (Happy Birthday baby!) and i made her a scavenger hunt, hehe. Last night we had a big party for her here at her parents apartment. some stuff didn't turn out as planned, but overall i think it was a good night. i got drunk and i think that severely aggravated my throat/cough....but i don't care cuz tequila is just so damn worth it!
oh my god, Cranium is the best game. just so you know...
and so is Mario Party, god damnit! ALL OF THEM! Lauren brought her Gamecube over to the party so we could play (cuz we're super nerds like that).
at the end people were trying to figure out who owes who how much for buying stuff for the party, and some people are such cheap-skates (is that how you spell that?). made me kinda angry, cuz in the end, Mar ended up having to pay the most money, i think, and it's her freaking birthday...like seriously...and the people who actually have more money were the stingiest...whatever...
tonight, we're going out to dinner with Mar's parents, her brother and his girlfriend, and her aunt and uncle (i think?) to the Keg Mansion. that place is soooooo yummy. Mar took me there for my last birthday and it's so nice. AND it's right near our apartment so before dinner we can go check on the poor kitties who got left all alone last night!
ok, the kittens...i seriously miss them when i'm away from them for too long. and they just get cuter and cuter every single day! except when they are being big trouble-makers and getting into stuff and knocking everything over, in which case they are not so cute, but still...the good totally outweighs the bad.
i've recently realized how huge of an animal lover i am. like i always knew that i was, but i'm starting to imagine all the animals that i actually want to have eventually. i mean, it's not a LOT, but ya know, i want a small cute little dog, like Checkers (my family dog), and i want a Husky, and i of course love the cats, and i've always wanted to have a horse, even though that's way down the line cuz them puppies is 'spensive!
let's see....my life....well that would be school... school is good. i think i'm doing better this year, which is very good. i'm also doing lighting for a bunch of shows which is good...expanding my lighting experience. my Theatre Design class is pretty cool, my DRM230 class is a little boring, but also a little interesting (especially considering i never went to DRM100 last year, so i know less than i should and therefore need to learn more, lol)...and Pia (my prof) is of course somewhat frightening (she's also the head of the drama program and has amazingly orange hair, which she always matches with at least one piece of orange accessory, if not the whole outfit). and then there are my Women's Studies courses (my brand-spankin-new slightly unwilling 2nd major) which are actually quite interesting, to my relief. i've missed the last few classes, though, which is not ok. can't do that no mo'.
anyway, i think this be enough for now, me mateys...
