If this is being an adult (loath though I am to admit it and I will almost certainly take it back the next time I see our club's dear prince) I would rather not grow up. However, that is a fleeting thought while I'm achy and sleep deprived. And one must also consider the fact that being an adult in our world and within the City are vastly different things.
The effects of mass poisoning would have been dealt with differently back in our own world, I'm sure. However, coping with what we have is the best we could hope for. It would be foolish of me to say I've never seen the hospital so inundated with patients because no doubt they have seen worse in the past the City will send something new our way soon enough.
Still, today I haven't had even nearly enough sleep and this is the first opportunity I've had to sit down. I will have to provide an excuse for my absence during the mayhem so as not to-- ah. The mayhem itself will be sufficient enough.
This place... is starting to test my patience. The results of a poison outbreak is not something they should have to witness at any point in their lifetimes. The way things were apparently going, neither would I, but that is irrelevant now.
It would have been better if Hikaru had no returned, for his own sake, not because he was unwanted. But we are indeed selfish creatures and his return will no doubt bring a sense of comfort.
Business as usual then, I suppose.

Hikaru. I understand your break has come to a close and you will be rejoining us, is that correct? Welcome back.
I would seem that we-- Hm? Music?
Excuse me, I have somewhere to be.
