I'm going to get on the political soap box here and say - write to your MP if you are really not comfortable with this. Although it's supposed to be for terrorist suspects only, a whole range of other "criminal" activities could see your communications being tapped for 45 days without a warrant and the contents being completely admissable in court for any trial.
