30 Day Beatles Meme

Jul 26, 2010 22:25

Ok, so I stoled this from thinkpink20  but it's so brill I had to do it. (:
And I'm doing 30 days in one day as well, so bear with me.

Day One: Your Favourite Beatle

Paul McCartney. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. And he is beautiful.

Day Two: Your Favourite Beatles Song

That's difficult but I adore Eight Days a Week. So I'll go with that.

Day Three: Your Favourite Beatles Film

A Hard Day's Night. The black and white is exquisite and the film itself is so charming.

Day Four: Your Favourite Beatles Quote

"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." That was inspired. <3

Day Five: A Beatles song that makes you cry

Let it Be. It just speaks to everyone, and means something different to them all. It's really powerful, but really sad.

Day Six: A Beatles song that always cheers you up

She Loves You. It is one of the happiest songs in the world, seriously. And it makes me nostalgic for a time I never even knew.

Day Seven: A Beatles photo that makes you happy

The original suited and booted Fab Four. When they were getting all famous and the like. Love 'em.

Day Eight: Favourite Beatles album

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This is a true work of art.

Day Nine: A Beatles picture that makes you angry or sad

This makes me angry and sad. ): It was just such an unhappy time for them all.

Day Ten: Favourite Beatles outfits

Pepper for the wackiness. But I just love them in their suits, each and every suit they ever wore! And this picture for the J/Pness. ;)

Day Eleven: Favourite Beatles era

Gotta be '64ish, conquering America, taking over the world. Those young lads.

Day Twelve: A Beatles song you know all the words to

All of them! Haha, one of the ones I love for this is Here, There and Everywhere.

Day Thirteen: Your least favourite Beatles song

Revolution No.9. Argh.

Day Fourteen: Five things you would change about the Beatles

Well, there's not many things I can think of in this repsect. But here goes -
1) They hadn't thrown Pete Best over in the way they did. He deserved better than that.
2) Brian had never died. But there's no changing that unfortunately.
3) John had never trapped himself out in Weybridge like he did.
4) Yoko was never allowed in the studio.
5) John and Paul had talked to each other!

Day Fifteen: Your favourite Beatles book

I don't actually own one about the band as a whole. I love John Lennon: The Life by Philip Norman and Many Years from Now by Barry Miles.

Day Sixteen: Favourite art drawing from or of the Beatles

Iconic. Klaus was a great artist.

Day Seventeen: Your favourite Beatles wife

La la la la lovely Lindaaaa <3

She was the one.

Day Eighteen: Your least favourite Beatles wife

Yoko.

Day Nineteen: Your Favourite Beatles child

Mary McCartney. There's just something very calm and serene about her, and she's gorgeous. Paul's eyes and Linda's warmth.

Day Twenty: Your least favourite Beatles album

The White Album. Too much nasty.

Day TwentyOne: A Beatles song you listen to when you're sad

The Long and Winding Road. The music leading to the climax and last verse at the end is just so moving.

Day TwentyTwo: Your favourite Beatles instrument

Paul's Hoefner bass. He really rocks the damn thing. And everyone squees the minute they see it. Or is that just me?

Day TwentyThree: Favourite Beatles tribute band

I've only ever seen one called 'The Beatles Beat' from here in Glasgow. http://www.thebeatlesbeat.co.uk/ They were pretty good, their version of Taxman was great!

Day TwentyFour: Favourite staff members of the Beatles

Mr. Brian Epstein

Day TwentyFive: Favourite Beatles poster

Hands down Abbey Road.

Day TwentySix: Favourite Beatles moment

Any moment between John and Paul caught on camera. And them singing together at concerts, standing so close at the one microphone, glancing at one another, grinning and looking like they share the whole world. Love.

Day TwentySeven: Your favourite Beatles hairstyle

The moptop, naturally! And George's turnip top. :P

Day TwentyEight: Your favourite Beatles concert

Shea Stadium for the sheer scale of it and the history it made.

Day TwentyNine: Your favourite video of the Beatles on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCJrDSY_Nds I love the playfighting. :D

Day Thirty: Least favourite Beatles concert

All of them, forty years before my time. I should have been there.
